Switches & Crossings

Switches and Crossings (S&C) represent the most crucial parts of any railway network and they are accountable for a large portion of the M&R expenditures.

RAMSYS offers the hierarchy management of S&C and its components (e.g. frogs, switch engine, etc.) as well as all the related condition data mainly coming by inspections.

Specific parameters can be defined for handling the different position of measuring (e.g. heel of the frog, blade, gauge point, etc.).

Moving away from managing S&C explicitly as nodal (singular) points on Track, RAMSYS provides a linear representation of the S&C and allows the visual but more importantly the conceptual correlation between the S&C and any other track asset lying within its boundaries.

Collerating/Managing all the key attributes of the S&C e.g. Turn rate, Travel Direction, Turnout direction, etc., RAMSYS can target accurately the required Maintenance and Renewal works within the effective boundaries of the S&C and its components.
