MERMEC Group strengthens its successful partnership with Jerbaneverket in NorwayMERMEC Group and Jernbaneverket (JBV) have signed a multi-year deal including a 10-year maintenance contract for the ROGER 1000 vehicle currently used by the national railway operator as well as the complete upgrade of the measurement equipment installed onboard.OSLO, Norway, December 9th, 2011 – JBV’s diagnostic vehicle, a ROGER 1000 recording car, was delivered more than eleven years ago and even if it is in fully efficiency, JBV asked to upgrade the onboard measuring systems to their latest generations to boost performance and inspection capabilities. "Technology inside our diagnostic solutions developed so fast in the last decade that electronics powering our measuring system has became obsolete making harder even very simple tasks such as lasers and camera repairs", says Geir H. Ingvaldsen, Head of Diagnostic Department at JBV. "Contract signed last Friday" says Giuseppe Aurisicchio, Diagnostic Solution Product Line Manager "will guarantee full-service maintenance support for further 10-year while allowing systematic upgrade of all measuring systems originally provided". The new deal will strengthen MERMEC and JBV unique relationship that started in 2000 when ROGER vehicle was delivered has became a real partnership between the parties. "We consider JBV’s vehicle as a valuable point of reference in communicating and promoting our proud tradition of innovation" continues Giuseppe Aurisicchio "in fact, it has been used to give shelter to international delegation of customers from all over the world as well as to demonstrate the Norwegian model in executing infrastructure inspection and monitoring. New equipment installation will start in February 2012 in order to make the vehicle ready to start measuring campaigns during Spring 2012. Contract worth around 50 million Norwegian Crowns and includes training courses.
