Treviso, Italy - The CEN Working Group 21 "Acceptance of track work after renewal and/or maintenance work" and Working Group 28 "Track Geometry Quality" meetings will be hosted by Tecnogamma in Treviso on 29-30 October and 20-21 November 2008, respectively.
Working Groups 21 and 28 are two of the forty Working Groups which compose the CEN Technical Committee 256 for Railway Applications.
CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, was founded in 1961 by the national standards bodies in the European Economic Community and EFTA countries. Together with CENELEC and ETSI, CEN is entitled by the Railway European Agency to issue technical European Regulations (ER) promoting interoperability of the networks.
The Working Groups draft documents in accordance with the work specifications, guidelines and time schedule provided by the Technical Committee and in accordance with CEN drafting rules.
Working Groups 21 and 28 are composed of experts from rail users, rail operators, infrastructure owners, manufacturers and maintainers, service providers (e.g. consultants, financers, etc.), trade associations, etc.
Tecnogamma and MER MEC have provided experts for both Working Groups.
