Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereinafter ‘GDPR’), providing provisions for the protection of people and other subjects with regard to the processing of personal data and the General Provision of the Privacy Authority of 8 May 2014 on cookies, as integrated by the Guidelines of the Privacy Guarantor of 10 June 2021, we wish to inform you about the management of this site in relation to the personal data you provide and the use of cookies.
The data will be processed in compliance with the above-mentioned regulations and with the privacy principles adopted by MER MEC S.p.A.

Through the computer systems and the normal use of our website by the user, the Data Controller processes the following personal data:

Through our websites, MERMEC will not collect any personal data (e.g., name, address, phone number, or email address) unless you voluntarily choose to provide it to us (e.g., through the “Contact us” section) with prior consent, or unless otherwise permitted by applicable laws and regulations for the protection of your personal data.

3. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

The information collected will only be used to monitor the proper functioning of the website and for statistical purposes.
In case of voluntary submission of personal data as per letter c) of paragraph 2, the Data Controller will store the data provided by you for the same purposes and timing, in order to respond to your request and process your order.
Furthermore, to improve the relationship with you the Controller:

  • may store and process your personal data to better understand your business needs and also to improve products and service;
  • may use your personal data to contact you about a MERMEC offer in support of your business needs.

If you choose not to allow your personal data to be used to improve your relationship as a customer with the Data Controller, we will respect your choice. The only consequence may be the inability to obtain what you requested. We will not otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties.

4. Methods of Processing

The processing of personal data is carried out using computer tools or paper documents, by personnel expressly authorized for processing and appropriately trained to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data and to prevent loss, destruction, unauthorized access, or unauthorized processing of the same data.

To protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, or alteration and against unauthorized disclosure or access, MERMEC uses technical and organizational security measures.

6. Retention of Personal Data

We would like to inform you that, in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation and data minimisation, pursuant to Article 5 of the GDPR, personal data will be stored for a period of time no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they were acquired or subsequently processed, as provided for by the rules on the limitation of rights or regulations in force, and except in the event of the need to protect rights before the competent courts.

7. Cookies

When you visit our websites, the Controller may store some data on your computer in the form of ‘cookies’ in order to automatically recognise your PC the next time you visit the site.

10. Rights of the data subject

You have the right to access the data concerning you at any time and to exercise your rights under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR (to request the origin of the data, rectification of the data, restriction of processing, erasure or oblivion, portability and objection to their use by sending an e-mail to datamanager@mermecgroup.it.
Furthermore, pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
