As the shoegear is responsible for the current drainage it’s important to perform a regular inspection and ensure the optimal interaction avoiding electrical interferences and reducing corrective maintenance.
The system is based on high accuracy laser and cameras detection units placed on the trackside. The system can detect the full profile of the shoegear and it is capable to determine its wear and position respect to the Top of Rail during the transition over the system.
