Marseille, France - The MERMEC Group multi-disciplinary know-how in developing advanced diagnostic solutions for demanding applications will be used in aerospace.

MERMEC France will lead research project ANISA aiming to develop a technology able to assess the integrity of aircraft and satellite critical components.

MERMEC France will cooperate with important French companies - CEA (Bragg Grating production); Hélicoptères GUIMBAL (Helicopter manufacturer) AEROMECANIC (Distribution and Maintenance of helicopters and General Aviation Aircrafts) THALES ALENIA SPACE (Satellites manufacturer), ISO (Quality Certification body), M GUIMBAL (a Spin-off company of the world leader manufacturer of helicopters EUROCOPTER) and TAS, an Italian-French manufacturers of satellites.

Lobby and commitment of the political and administrative center of the French Region of Provence-Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) has been crucial to start the ANISA project.

In fact the region has allowed MERMEC France to obtain favorable loan conditions even better than those usually granted to the French companies by FUI (Fondo Unico Interministeriale – an interdepartmental fund for research programs) that has co-financed the project with the FEDER (Fond Européen de Développement Regional).
